cop / young god sounds like a sometimes subdued, sometimes more upfront anger. to me, this album generally has a very hypnotic vibe. a highlight on the album for me is the first title track, "cop". this song channels a very obvious anger at cops into a lumbering anthem against police brutality and the systemic violence perpetrated by law enforcement. overall, i would say that this album is about power dynamics and the agression needed to maintain them. solid album.
