my first thing that i came up with for the set is that im gonna be wearing my handcuffs. i originally had planned to do this at my last noise set but i forgot to, so ill be doing it during this set instead. i also recently bought an oyster contact mic, which im going to be using to amplify a blue rubbermaid bin that i have. im gonna use the rubber maid bin as a percussion instrument mainly. im currently trying to figure out how to get a snare like sound out of it. an idea that i was thinking might work - but i havent tried yet - is hitting it with a chain.
after listening to the album "public castration is a good idea" by swans i was inspired to have a similar sort of slow lumbering rhythm to my set. ive figured out the tempo of the main rhythm is gonna be around 75 bpm, and in 8/4. im gonna be borrowing my friends looper pedal too, so i can have multiple rhythms or parts if i need to.
